Vancouver Canucks’ Brock Boeser to miss Game 7 with blood clot issue
? Bob Frid-USA TODAY Sports

According to reports from Irfaan Gaffar and Elliotte Friedman, Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser will miss Game 7 vs. Edmonton with a blood clotting issue.

IF Vancouver advances, it is unclear on when Boeser could return to the lineup. The clotting issue has been labelled as non-life threatening.

A massive loss to the Canucks as Boeser currently leads the team with seven goals and 12 assists in 12 playoff games. Boeser has tallied three goals and three assists for six points in six games throughout the second-round series against the Oilers, which included a three-point night in Game 3.

The 27-year-old tallied a career-high 40 goals and 73 points in 81 games during the 2023-24 regular season. He ranked first in goals and fourth in points among Canucks skaters. He is one of 17 players who hit the 40-goal mark during the 2023-24 campaign. Boeser missed the final game of the regular season and was reportedly “dealing with something.”

The Canucks will get ready to face off against the Oilers in an All-Canadian Game 7 battle to see who advances to the Western Conference Final to face the Dallas Stars on Thursday.

Throughout his career, Boeser has appeared in 479 career games and has registered 179 goals and 205 assists. The Burnsville, Minnesota native will be heading into the final year of his three-year, $19,950,000 contract he signed in July 2022.
